UT SPE AT A GLANCE
Here at UT SPE, we have many opportunities for our student members. We host bi-weekly meetings, socials, Lunch & Learn, Senior banquet and much more throughout the school year.
WHAT WE DO
BI-WEEKLY MEETINGS
We host bi-weekly general meetings where companies explain their business and current projects, while members sit back and enjoy catered food. The meetings are a great way for future engineers to learn about both individual companies, and the oil and gas industry as a whole
LUNCH & LEARN
Lunch & Learns are another opportunity to give students a technical presentation on topics that go beyond classroom lectures. These presentations are designed to be more technical than general meetings.
SOCIAL
SPE hosts monthly socials for student members to interact and get to know each other.
SENIOR BANQUET
In May, SPE looks back at all the great memories from the year and celebrates the graduating seniors during the Annual Banquet. All members are welcome.
TAILGATES
Tailgates are a great opportunity to get to know PGE students on a personal, casual level. SPE members can enjoy food, drinks, and games before heading out to the stadium for the football game.
GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Crude Oil Classic Golf Tournament is SPE's largest fundraiser which helps to raise money for the Annual Banquet and SPE International's Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition. Come join company representatives and faculty this April at one of Austin's premier golf courses.
